Kraken is seeking a Head of Exchange Infrastructure to own the layer behind all Kraken products: the matching engine, core infra, custody, and API engine. You will lead a small, senior team of product managers and work closely with an engineering manager to deliver a unified, low-latency exchange stack.

You will define the product vision and long‑term roadmap, consolidate multiple engines into one platform, and establish metrics for latency, throughput, and uptime.

Formación

• Senior product leader with experience in exchange, trading, or high‑performance platforms.
• Proven ability to manage and develop product managers on a senior team.
• Player-coach mindset; able to own roadmaps and write specs when needed.
• Ability to translate product vision into a long‑term roadmap.
• Deep understanding of matching engine and market data architecture and latency tradeoffs.
• Experience building platforms for internal customers rather than bespoke builds.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
• Passion for crypto markets and building the next generation of financial infrastructure.

Responsabilidades

• Own the product vision and roadmap for the exchange layer.
• Lead and grow a team of product managers; set the bar for product craft.
• Consolidate multiple matching engines into one starting with US derivatives.
• Build an interface-agnostic platform that supports all product teams.
• Define success metrics (latency, throughput, uptime) and drive accountability.
• Collaborate with engineering leaders to sequence migrations without disrupting live markets.
• Partner with Risk and Credit Infrastructure to enable a single client account across products.
• Align cross‑functional teams around the exchange strategy.
