Job summary

ABB is looking for an Automation Engineer in Chile to lead design and implementation of Knowledge Manager solutions within the 800xA ecosystem. You will configure control applications, integrate fieldbus protocols, and support FAT/SAT tests across mining and process industries in Chile and abroad.

Role requires 3+ years in process automation, DCS experience, and strong English/Spanish communication. Hybrid work model with on-site deployment as needed, enabling collaboration across ABB’s global

Qualifications

• Engineering degree in automation, electrical or electronics with automation specialization.
• Minimum 3 years in process automation and 800xA DCS or similar systems.
• Experience with commissioning, FAT/SAT, and site deployments.

Responsibilities

• Configure and develop control applications within 800xA platform per specs.
• Handle network infrastructure and fieldbus integrations for DCS.
• Perform interoperability tests, troubleshooting, and on-site support.
• Support international projects and knowledge transfer in Chile.
