Fluor Corporation in Chile seeks an Area Lead engineer to oversee discipline engineering on assigned projects and deliver high-quality technical solutions. The role requires coordinating teams, evaluating designs, and applying cost-competitive execution practices to meet project goals.

You will review specifications, manage procurement activities, and mentor junior engineers while ensuring compliance with standards and timelines in a global contractor environment.

Formación

• Accredited four-year degree or global equivalent in engineering with six years of related experience.
• Professional registration or certification in the field, if required.
• Ability to communicate with management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors.
• Advanced knowledge of discipline codes and standards.

Responsabilidades

• Apply Cost Competitive Execution techniques to develop cost-effective total project solutions for execution of the discipline engineering work.
• Develop and review specifications, including design criteria.
• Participate in activities associated with equipment and material procurement, permitting, and subcontracting.
• Assign work to teams, monitor and manage the work.
• Perform and check calculations, specify equipment, and solve moderately complex engineering problems.
• Review vendor equipment documentation for compliance and resolution of discrepancies.
• Analyze and make independent recommendations regarding solutions to problems with varying complexity.
• Other duties as assigned.
