Blacksmith Agency is seeking an AI Developer to own and ship the internal automation roadmap. This builder role focuses on production systems that leverage AI models, not model training, and emphasizes API integrations and tooling across our stack.

You will work with LangChain, LangGraph or equivalent, integrate OpenAI/Anthropic APIs, and build tools that reduce manual hours in our design and development processes while connecting WordPress, Figma, Google Workspace and our CMS.

Qualifications

• 2+ years building production software with Python or Node.js.

About The Role

Blacksmith Agency is building an AI automation layer into every part of how we work. As AI Developer at Blacksmith, you own and ship our internal automation roadmap. This is a builder role, not a research role. You will not be training models, you will be building production systems on top of them.

What You Will Build

• Agentic workflows using LangChain, LangGraph or equivalent frameworks.
• Integrations with Anthropic and OpenAI APIs including tool use and function calling.
• Internal tools that reduce manual hours across our design and development production process.
• Automation pipelines connecting WordPress, Figma, Google Workspace and our internal CMS.
• MCP server integrations as part of our broader AI stack.

What You Bring

• 2+ years building production software with Python or Node.js.
• Hands-on experience with LangChain, LangGraph, CrewAI, AutoGen or similar agent frameworks.
• Proven API integration work with OpenAI or Anthropic (function calling, tool use, streaming).
• Strong understanding of REST APIs, webhooks and basic cloud deployment.
• English sufficient for async written work with a US-based team.
