Job summary

Liebherr Machines Bulle SA invites applications for a 12‑month internship in Technical Development in Bulle, CH. You will contribute to combustion engine development for defense applications and gain hands‑on experience in an international engineering environment.

We seek candidates pursuing or having completed a Bachelor's or Master's in Mechanical/Automotive/Industrial Engineering with strong analytical, problem‑solving and collaboration skills.

Qualifications

• Pursuing or recently completed Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical, Automotive, Industrial Engineering or related field.
• Strong interest in combustion engines, mechanical systems and technical development.
• Good analytical and problem‑solving skills with a structured and detail‑oriented approach.
• Proactive, curious and motivated to learn in a multidisciplinary engineering environment.
• Fluent in English; knowledge of French and/or German is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Support technical development projects for combustion engines dedicated to defense applications, from concept development to validation and integration.
• Assist in coordination and follow‑up of engineering activities, ensuring alignment with project requirements, timelines and deliverables.
• Contribute to analysis and implementation of technical and customer requirements.
• Support development and application of engineering tools and methodologies, including reliability analysis, continuous improvement and technical documentation.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams including simulation, electronics, testing and other engineering departments.
• Participate in technical investigations, problem‑solving activities and product improvement initiatives.
• Assist in the preparation of technical reports, project documentation and presentations.

• You are fluent in English, knowledge of French and/or German is an asset.
• You have good knowledge of MS Office; familiarity with engineering or project management tools is an advantage.
