Job summary

Liebherr Machines Bulle SA invites you to join as a Young Talent Subsystems Engineering for a 12-month internship. You will contribute to engine components and subsystems, working closely with experienced engineers to gain practical insights into development processes, validation activities and cross-functional collaboration.

You will gain exposure to technical development, testing, and documentation, while developing engineering skills.

Qualifications

• Pursuing or recently completed a Master’s degree in mechanical/automotive engineering.
• Interest in internal combustion engines and validation processes.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Autonomy, flexibility and ability to work in a team.
• Good command of English; knowledge of French or German is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support the development of engine components and subsystems from specifications to testing and release.
• Assist Subsystem Owner with concept proposals for new components in projects.
• Collaborate with Subsystem Engineering, Validation & Reliability, and Test Engineering teams.
• Contribute to knowledge management documentation across subsystems.
• Contribute to the preparation and maintenance of Design Verification Plans and technical documentation.
• Support documentation of technical issues and validation results.
• Assist in improving testing methods, development processes and reporting tools.
• Support validation and testing activities coordination and follow-up.

Are you looking for an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in engine development within an international industrial environment?

Join Liebherr Machines Bulle SA as a Young Talent Subsystems Engineering and contribute to the development of engine components and subsystems. Working closely with experienced engineers, you will gain practical insights into technical development processes, validation activities and cross-functional collaboration while developing your engineering skills.

We are looking for a candidate available for 12 months internship as of February 2027.

Your responsibilities

• You support the development of engine components and subsystems, from technical specifications to testing and technical release.
• You support the Subsystem Owner for concept proposals of new components to be developed and introduced in new projects.
• You collaborate with Subsystem Engineering, Validation & Reliability and Test Engineering teams to ensure effective coordination of technical activities.
• You contribute to the development and maintenance of knowledge management documentation across different subsystems.
• You contribute to the preparation and maintenance of Design Verification Plans (DVP) and technical documentation.
• You support the identification, documentation and follow-up of technical issues and validation results.
• You participate in the continuous improvement of testing methods, development processes and reporting tools.
• You assist in the preparation, coordination and follow-up of validation and testing activities.

Your profile

• You are currently pursuing or recently completed a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering or a related technical field.
• You have a strong interest in internal combustion engines, component development and validation processes.
• You have good analytical and problem-solving skills, with a structured and detail-oriented approach.
• You distinguish yourself by your autonomy, flexibility and ability to work in a team.
• Good command of English, knowledge of French or German is an asset.
