Visorway AG in Zürich is seeking a Working Student in AI Engineering to help build AI-native Sourcing Advisory services. You will operate at the intersection of AI, software engineering, product development, and sourcing, contributing to workflows that structure sourcing decisions and produce actionable results.

You will collaborate with engineers, domain experts, and the founding team, gaining hands-on experience turning ideas into production AI services while learning to build dependable

Qualifikationen

• Enrolled at a university in Switzerland, ideally studying CS, AI, DS, or SE.
• Strong programming fundamentals and experience with software, prototypes, or data-driven applications.
• Genuine interest in AI systems with a critical mindset.
• Willing to learn unfamiliar technologies, break down complex problems, and work across product areas.
• Able to communicate technical ideas clearly in English; German and Swiss German or French a plus.
• Structured, curious, and self-motivated with an interest in sourcing and enterprise software.

The role

As a Working Student in AI Engineering, you will help us build AI-native Sourcing Advisory services that make expert procurement knowledge available on demand. You will work at the intersection of artificial intelligence, software engineering, product development, and sourcing.

You will contribute to workflows that help organizations structure sourcing decisions, work with expert knowledge, and produce actionable results. You will collaborate closely with engineers, product thinkers, sourcing experts, and the founding team - gaining hands-on experience in building real AI services from idea to production.

This is a practical role for someone who wants to understand not only how AI models work, but also how to build dependable systems around them.

Your responsibilities

• Help design and implement AI-powered Sourcing Advisory features, workflows, and user-facing product capabilities
• Translate sourcing expert methods, frameworks, and business requirements into structured AI experiences for tender documents, supplier research, bid evaluation, and negotiation preparation
• Build systems that combine conversations, documents, workflows, domain-specific knowledge, and human-in-the-loop expert input
• Develop evaluation scenarios, quality checks, and test cases; investigate unexpected model outputs and improve the reliability, performance, and usefulness of AI features
• Research language models, AI agents, retrieval, multimodal AI, and AI-assisted workflows, and contribute to product discussions
• Collaborate with the team to document concepts, decisions, experiments, and learnings

Your profile

• Enrolled at a university in Switzerland or an equivalent institution, ideally studying Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
• Strong programming fundamentals and experience with software, prototypes, or data-driven applications, plus familiarity with machine learning, language processing, retrieval, or data structures
• Genuine interest in AI systems and a critical mindset when evaluating their strengths, limitations, and behavior
• Comfortable learning unfamiliar technologies, breaking down complex problems, and working across different parts of a product
• Able to communicate technical ideas clearly in English; native or fluent German and fluent English are required, Swiss German or French is a plus
• Structured, curious, and self-motivated, with an interest in sourcing, procurement, enterprise software, knowledge work, or the startup ecosystem

Experience with AI applications, software development, data analysis, research projects, or building personal technology projects is a plus, but not required.
