Audi will be competing in the FIA Formula 1 World Championship from 2026.
The new team has three locations. Audi's Motorsport Competence Center in Neuburg (Germany) is considered one of the most modern of its kind in Europe. The Sauber Group's Formula 1 factory in Hinwil (Switzerland) is known for its innovative technologies and passion for racing. The Sauber Motorsport Technical Center, UK will be operational this year. Our Power Unit comes from Neuburg, while Hinwil is responsible for the development of the chassis and race operations.

This position for the Audi F1 Project is at Sauber in Hinwil (Switzerland).
Your mission
Development and automation of the wind tunnel system and its peripheral devices
Creation of automation, operating and safety concepts, considering industry standards and safety guidelines for persons and functions
Programming, further development and maintenance of the SPS/HMI controls for the wind tunnel system
Carrying out electrotechnical development, planning and implementation work and creating the corresponding documentation
Responsibility for the electrical installation on the wind tunnel system
Analysing and rectifying faults in the wind tunnel system
Your profile
Completed apprenticeship as an automation technician EFZ, electrical planner EFZ or comparable
Further training at FH/HF level in the field of system technology/automation/electrical engineering
Deep knowledge of SPS/PLC programming and the further development of control software in mechanical and plant engineering
Experience in project management
Authorisation in accordance with Art. 13 NIV, Art. 15 NIV is an advantage
Proficiency in English language skills. German language skills will be an advantage
