Job summary

Frontify seeks a VP of Platform Engineering to own the platform that powers our product teams. You will lead a ~20-engineer with 4-manager team across backend/frontend platform, DevOps, architecture, accessibility, and QA, setting the technology strategy and ensuring high-quality delivery.

You’ll mentor leaders, drive an internal developer platform and AI tooling, and partner with Product to prioritize efforts. This role offers remote work from EU/UK and a St. Gallen on-site option.

Qualifications

• 12+ years in engineering.
• 5+ years leading other leaders.
• Built or matured an internal developer platform.
• Deep cloud infrastructure, CI/CD, reliability, and cost management knowledge.
• Led architectural direction across multiple teams.
• Experience with AI/LLM platform needs: gateways, evals, observability, safety tooling.
• Background in fast-scaling SaaS product companies.
• Curiosity about AI and experimentation in team processes.
• Strong hiring and ownership culture.
• English fluency

Responsibilities

• Set platform technology strategy and own its execution.
• Mentor engineers and managers; develop career paths.
• Partner with VP Product to align platform investments with product needs.
• Oversee Internal Developer Platform and AI platform initiatives.
• Drive cloud, infrastructure, DevOps reliability and cost efficiency.
• Guide frontend/backend platforms, shared services, and data infrastructure.
• Institute security posture and platform-wide compliance.
