Zusammenfassung

Cohu is seeking a Vision Systems Expert to join its Innovation Team in Switzerland. The role focuses on anticipating market trends in vision science and translating them into core technologies and platform solutions to reinforce the inspection business leadership.

You will collaborate with the WW NVcore Vision Manager and specialists to develop new inspections, design usable vision solutions, and forecast emerging vision tech while coordinating multiple engineering teams.

Qualifikationen

• Proven experience in Vision Inspection and Metrology sciences.
• Proven experience in vision system conception.
• Wide knowledge of vision elements (camera, lighting, lenses, optical system, electronics, vision software and calibration process).
• Management skills to coordinate different engineering department members around one topic/project.
• Capable to present in a synthetic and understandable way an experimental trial result.
• Fluent in French and English.
• Position based in Switzerland with travel time up to 20%.

MAIN OBJECTIVES

• Anticipate market trends in vision science and translate them into core technologies and platform solutions to further secure Cohu's inspection business leadership
• Be a referent and propose new ideas to the Engineering Vision Team to any new and innovative challenge they could face
• Propose new vision solutions to any challenge that could be raised by customers

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Participate, in collaboration with the WW NVcore Vision Manager and Specialists to the development of new inspections and vision capabilities
• Conceptualize and design cost efficient, innovative and usable in most Cohu products vision solutions
• Perform technology scouting, technology “forecasting” and identification of emerging vision technologies
• Assess new vision technology bricks to decide the need and the strategy of know-how acquisition
• Conduct studies and trials in the vision science domain
• Investigate with PMM group and vision Cohu teams the best vision solution to integrate in all Cohu products to answer the market requirements and trends

• Provide added value to our system with adding new vision systems or adding capability to existing vision solutions

• Member of the Innovation Team in Switzerland under the Innovation Manager (T.Eme, Direction)
