Zusammenfassung

The Institute of Veterinary Bacteriology at the University of Bern is seeking a flexible and highly motivated veterinarian to join our diagnostic team for up to three years. The position aims to develop proficiency toward the European College of Veterinary Microbiology Board Examination, with optional American College of Veterinary Microbiologists exam exposure.

Starting date: January 2024 or by arrangement.

Qualifikationen

• A veterinary degree is required.
• At least one year of work experience (internship, clinical work or research).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
• Language requirements: Fluent in German and English and at least basic communication in French.

Aufgaben

• Case management including sample preparation, testing, reporting results and client communication (in German and French).
• Antimicrobial resistance monitoring.
• Supervision of staff.
• Assistance in teaching duties of university students.
• Generation of scientific data and publications in peer‑reviewed journals.
