You will support Production Leaders, Supervisors, and Specialists across daily operations and people-related activities—employee development, training, onboarding, coaching, and team effectiveness.

You will bridge management and the production team, coordinating meetings and ensuring timely escalation of production issues while promoting GMP, collaboration, and continuous improvement

Our client is looking for a USP Biotechnologist Manager to join their manufacturing operations in Visp, Switzerland. In this role, you will support Production Leaders, Supervisors, and Specialists across daily operations and people-related activities - including employee development, training, onboarding, coaching, and overall team effectiveness.

You will act as a key bridge between management and the production team, facilitating clear communication, coordinating team meetings, and ensuring timely escalation of production-related issues. You'll also play a role in promoting Lonza's culture of openness, collaboration, and continuous improvement across functional areas - helping to maintain a productive, compliant, and positive working environment.

• Support the execution of production campaigns within the manufacturing unit, contributing to safety, quality, and delivery objectives while assisting management and operational teams in day-to-day activities.
• Act as a key point of contact for production-related issues, supporting investigations, escalation processes, and resolution efforts in collaboration with Manufacturing, MSAT, and other cross-functional teams. Provide technical expertise in troubleshooting and problem-solving.
• Assist in maintaining the technical readiness and availability of manufacturing suites and equipment, supporting compliance with safety, environmental, quality, and regulatory requirements.
• Contribute to the review and implementation of technical change requests within the manufacturing unit, ensuring alignment with operational needs and established procedures.
• Support innovation and continuous improvement projects aimed at enhancing manufacturing processes, operational efficiency, and overall plant performance.
• Promote technical excellence and process standardization by supporting best-practice implementation and harmonized manufacturing approaches across the plant.
• Participate in risk assessments, workplace inspections, and compliance activities, identifying improvement opportunities and supporting corrective and preventive actions.
