Job Description
On behalf of our client, a reputable and fast-growing Trust company in Geneva, we are seeking an experienced Senior Trust Officer (M/F).
Responsibilities:
- Manage and administer a diverse portfolio of clients, including companies, trusts, and foundations with international orientations.
- Ensure compliance with financial, regulatory, and legal requirements.
- Collaborate with tax and legal advisors to restructure and implement fiduciary solutions.
- Prepare and review corporate documents such as resolutions, contracts, loan agreements, and powers of attorney.
- Oversee accounting processes, including financial statement preparation and review.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation for all client structures.
- Act as a key point of contact for clients, lawyers, accountants, bankers, and other third parties.
- Identify and promote new business opportunities to enhance company growth.
- Greet visitors warmly and ensure a professional front-office presence.
- Handle and direct incoming phone calls efficiently.
- Manage incoming and outgoing mail, deliveries, and document handling.
- Schedule and organize meetings, ensuring optimal time management.
- Maintain calendars and coordinate appointments.
- Provide first-class administrative support to Trust Officers and senior management.
- Assist the Legal and Compliance Office with maintaining procedures and regulatory compliance.
- Stay updated with industry trends, regulations, and best practices.
- Ensure adherence to internal controls and risk management frameworks.
Requirements:
- Higher education or university degree in law, accounting, economics, or a related field.
- TEP qualification required; UK common law legal and/or tax expertise is a strong plus.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in the trust industry.
- Proficient in modern office software tools and capable of handling complex travel arrangements.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication skills, with native-level proficiency in written French and English; Spanish is a plus.
- A collaborative, proactive, and professional approach with a commitment to best practices.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks effectively, and meet deadlines.
- Swiss residency is required for this position.
