Job summary

Bank J. Safra Sarasin in Zürich seeks a Portfolio Manager / Analyst for Thematic Equities. You focus on Industrials, Energy, Utilities, Mining and adjacent sectors, identifying high conviction stock ideas and developing thematic research publications.

You will co-manage a global thematic portfolio, conduct market analysis, present investment cases to the equities team, and build analytical tools for the team, contributing to risk management and portfolio performance.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years equity analysis experience in Industrials, Utilities, Energy or Mining.
• Experience as Portfolio Manager / Analyst in Asset Management or sell-side equity analysis.
• Strong MS Office and Bloomberg proficiency, plus programming/AI awareness.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills with stakeholders.
• Hands-on, independent work style with high accountability.
• Fluency in English.

Responsibilities

• Analyse and select stocks in Industrials, Energy, Utilities, Mining for a focused portfolio.
• Conduct market analysis in these sectors and integrate in equity views.
• Discuss and present investment cases to the equities team.
• Co-manage a global thematic portfolio and contribute to idea generation across funds.
• Perform reporting and administrative tasks across investment strategies.
• Present to clients and drive effective investment strategy communication.
• Develop analytical tools and improve existing processes.
