Responsibilities

In this challenge position as part of our ambitious future fuels global project, you will have the opportunity to be at the forefront of innovation within the marine engine development sector. Your primary responsibility will include, but is not limited to, the testing of our latest prototype design with cutting edge measurement technologies. In addition to these important tasks, you will also be required to:

  1. Lead performance, components and system tests in our R&D test center in Oberwinterthur
  2. Prepare test programs in cooperation with internal experts, the test team and externals (suppliers)
  3. Evaluate, calibrate and install test/measurement equipment
  4. Analyze and visualize measurement data and create test reports
  5. Organize and ensure quality control of required test components & equipment
  6. Continuously optimize test processes, measurement methods and data analysis tools

Requirements

  • BSc or MSc degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar discipline (Marine, Mechatronic, etc.)
  • Basic knowledge in thermodynamics and exhaust emissions
  • Knowledge of data analysis tools (AVL Concerto, Matlab, Excel)
  • Knowledge of data acquisition systems such as AVL Xion, Vector CANape
  • Experience with SPS and measurement technology such as AVL Indicom and WAGO
  • General knowledge of data communication (CAN bus, Modbus)
  • Structured and solution-oriented way of working
  • Team player with good ability to communicate
  • Willingness to support mechanical works
  • Fluent in English and German
