Rayner Surgical Group in Switzerland seeks a Technical Team Leader to support the Production department in daily coordination and the technical organization of manufacturing activities.

You will interface with Quality, Engineering, Purchasing, Logistics and other functions to ensure production runs efficiently, accurately, and in line with ISO 13485 requirements, with hands-on assembly and support as needed.

Qualifications

• Completed vocational training in mechatronics or related technical field.
• Several years of practical experience in medical device assembly or manufacturing.
• Experience with production coordination or manufacturing organisation is advantageous.
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems.

Responsabilités

• Coordinate daily production activities and allocate production orders.
• Support production planning and act as deputy Line Manager when needed.
• Provide hands-on assembly and manufacturing support during peak periods.
• Monitor material requirements and coordinate with Purchasing/Logistics to prevent interruptions.
• Organise material flow, storage, and line-side supply to improve efficiency.
• Maintain BOMs, production data, and material records for traceability.
• Provide technical support and investigate manufacturing issues, root causes, and corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with work instructions, QMS, and ISO 13485.

The Technical Team Leader supports the Production department in the day-to-day coordination and technical organisation of manufacturing activities. The role acts as a key interface between Production, Quality, Engineering, Purchasing, Logistics and other relevant functions and supports the Line Manager in ensuring that production activities are organised efficiently, accurately and in accordance with applicable quality and regulatory requirements.

The Technical Team Leader will continue to actively support the assembly and manufacturing of medical devices and components. This includes taking over regular manufacturing activities when required, for example during holidays, sickness absence, increased production demand or other operational needs.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Coordinate daily production activities, allocate production orders and monitor progress to ensure efficient workflows and timely completion.
• Support the Line Manager with production planning, operational coordination and decision-making, acting as deputy when required.
• Provide hands‑on assembly and manufacturing support during periods of absence, increased production demand or other operational requirements.
• Monitor material requirements and stock levels, coordinating with Purchasing, Warehouse and Logistics to ensure material availability and prevent production interruptions.
• Organise and optimise material flow, storage locations, line‑side supply and workplace layouts to improve production efficiency.
• Manage production orders, material bookings, inventory transactions and order completion within Majesty, ensuring accurate and timely system records.
• Maintain accurate Bills of Materials (BOMs), production data and material records, ensuring correct component allocation and full product traceability.
• Provide technical support and troubleshoot manufacturing issues, investigating component and supplier‑related problems and supporting root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with approved work instructions, technical documentation, the Quality Management System and applicable regulatory requirements, including ISO 13485.
• Ensure devices are correctly labelled with the appropriate type plates and serial numbers, and that all required production and quality documentation is complete.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Quality and other relevant functions to resolve technical and quality issues, implement corrective actions and support production requirements.
• Identify and implement improvements to manufacturing processes, workflows, production efficiency, quality, reliability and workplace organisation.
• Support new product introductions, product revisions, technical changes and new manufacturing configurations, ensuring production readiness and updated documentation.
• Support internal and external audits, maintain a strong quality culture, ensure accurate production handovers and escal… operational, technical or compliance risks appropriately.

What Experience & Skills You Will Need

• Completed vocational training in mechatronics, electronics, precision mechanics, manufacturing or a related technical field.
• Several years of practical experience in medical device assembly, manufacturing, technical service or a comparable technical environment.
• Practical experience in production coordination or manufacturing organisation is an advantage.
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems.
• Ability to read and understand technical drawings, assembly instructions, testing documentation and BOMs.
• Good understanding of quality and regulatory requirements in a manufacturing environment, ideally including ISO 13485.
• Strong attention to detail, quality and safety.
• Reliable, structured and hands‑on working style.
• Fluency in German, business‑proficiency in English.
• Knowledge of Majesty is highly desirable.
