Qualifikationen

• Essential: Advanced degree in medicine, pharmacy, or biology relevant to the functions.
• Desirable: PhD in related field.
• Experience in international health policy and management.
• Strong collaboration with partners and regulatory bodies.
• Experience with blood establishment and regulatory oversight.

Aufgaben

• Provide specialized technical support in the assigned programme area and contribute to planning, monitoring and evaluation of WHO activities.
• Contribute to development and implementation of policies, norms and standards for blood systems and transfusion services.
• Coordinate programme activities, manage resources, monitor indicators, and ensure timely outputs.
• Conduct technical research and capacity-building to inform policy and programme implementation.
• Advise on regulatory, quality assurance, and standardization approaches for blood products.
• Support development and maintenance of norms, reference materials and guidance on blood regulation.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and represent WHO at technical meetings.
• Perform other duties as required by the position.
