Job summary

Qualifications

• MSc or PhD in Computer Science, Physics, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• 3+ years leading a software engineering team, with strong communication and organizational skills.
• Broad C++ experience in a professional environment.
• Familiarity with networking protocols, and interfacing with firmware or specialized hardware.
• Experience with CUDA, Python, or Rust (Nice-to-have)
• Exposure to RDMA/RoCE, high-performance computing, or low-latency systems (Nice-to-have).
• Background in controlling lab equipment (Nice-to-have).

Job description

Team Leader Systems Software (80-100%) at Zurich Instruments, Zurich. A lead-level full time position in the R&D team, listed under software engineering.

While real-time data processing inside the instruments has been key traditionally, the tight, low-latency integration with an environment of CPUs and GPUs gains great importance now. With the Data Transfer team, you lead a small group of proven experts accelerating this transition. You will directly report to our VP R&D.
