Zusammenfassung

Zurich Instruments is seeking a leader to head the System Testing Team responsible for verifying SW and HW integration for our quantum control systems. You will guide six verification engineers, shape testing strategies, and drive improvements in stability and quality.

You will collaborate with product management, agile teams and the EPD group to implement tools, processes, and best practices. A proven track record in test leadership and strong Python skills are essential.

Qualifikationen

• 3+ years of team leadership experience.
• 3+ years of practical experience in testing systems based on HW, FW, and SW.
• BSc/MSc/PhD in SW or Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Familiar with firmware, HW, and lab test equipment.
• ISTQB Advanced Level Test Management (CTAL-TM) or equivalent.

Together with our team of highly skilled test and verification engineers and scientists, you further increase the test coverage and operate the system to ensure industry-grade stability and SW quality of our products.

Your responsibilities

• Lead the System Testing Team consisting of six highly skilled system verification engineers.
• Drive all aspects of people development in close collaboration with ZI's HR team
• You shape our roadmap for system testing and SW quality and drive its implementation. This may include the selection of tools (including AI) and processes, setting test strategies, assessing the test coverage, as well as training.
• You align with all the stakeholders of SW quality, including product management, the agile development teams, and our Engineering Productivity Team.
• In short, you further grow the system stability and software quality of our products.

Your profile

• Strong focus on SW and test development in Python.
• At least 3 years of experience in team leadership.
• At least 3 years of practical experience in testing systems based on specialized HW, FW, and SW.
• BSc, MSc, or PhD in SW- or Electrical Engineering, or in an equivalent field.
• Familiar with aspects of Firmware, specialized HW, and laboratory test equipment.
• ISTQB Advanced Level Test Management (CTAL-TM) or comparable qualification
• Outstanding organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
• Sharp analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
