Job Description

The Talent Management Lead is responsible for shaping SGS’s global performance management and talent strategy. This role drives high-impact frameworks that structures workforce development, succession planning, and enables a culture of continuous feedback and growth, ensuring SGS is positioned to meet evolving business and leadership needs.

Key Responsibilities:

Talent & Performance Strategy

  • Design and implement a global performance management framework aligned with business goals and leadership priorities.
  • Lead enterprise-wide talent reviews, succession planning, and leadership pipeline strategies to enable long-term talent mobility.
  • Align performance management with leadership development, coaching, and engagement programs to drive holistic employee growth.
  • Partner with senior leaders globally to integrate talent strategies with workforce planning and capability development.

Data-Driven Decision Support

  • Provide executive insights and data-backed recommendations to guide talent planning and organizational effectiveness.
  • Use AI-powered performance analytics and platforms (e.g., Workday) to deliver real-time, predictive insights on employee performance and potential.
  • Conduct deep talent analyses to identify high-potential individuals and accelerate their development.

Employee Experience & Culture

  • Drive initiatives that strengthen feedback culture, improve employee experience, and promote development through coaching and mentoring.
  • Champion a high-performance culture through accountability, recognition, and career development opportunities.
  • Support underperforming employees with structured development interventions and coaching.

Operational Execution

  • Build manager capability through toolkits, training, and workshops to improve feedback and performance conversations.
  • Implement globally consistent yet locally adaptable performance frameworks in partnership with regional HR.
  • Facilitate executive-level calibration sessions to ensure fairness and consistency in talent evaluations.
  • Monitor KPIs to track progress in talent development, engagement, and performance culture.
  • Lead change management efforts to drive adoption of performance practices across all levels.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in HR, Business, Organizational Psychology, or related field.
  • 12+ years of experience in talent management, talent strategy, and leadership development in large, matrixed organizations.
  • Deep expertise in AI-enabled workforce analytics and digital HR platforms (e.g., Workday).
  • Proven ability to influence senior leaders and lead global, cross-functional initiatives.
  • Strong background in designing and implementing performance frameworks, succesion planning and coaching systems.
