We are looking for a Polymer Specialist to join our Technology and Innovation team in Winterthur.

This position offers the opportunity to support research and customer trials, keep our R&D operations running, and support our day-to-day activities in our Technology and Innovation hub.

Your main tasks and responsibilities:

  • Support R&D Projects: Conduct systematic investigations on polymer processing. Present results at group meetings and summarize your work in the form of reports.
  • Support Customer Trials: Assist in setting up and conducting customer trials at Foam and Devo line. Provide technical expertise and troubleshoot issues during trials. Collaborate with customers to understand needs.
  • Machinery and Equipment Management: Maintain and troubleshoot various machinery and equipment used in polymer applications. Perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure equipment is in optimal working condition. Assist in the implementation of safety protocols and maintain a safe working environment.
  • Warehouse Inventory Management: Manage inventory of raw materials and equipment used in various activities. Monitor stock levels, order supplies as needed, and keep accurate records of inventory.
  • Assist in sample characterization using standardized measurement methods.

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor or Master Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Material Science, or related field.
  • Proven experience working in a production or pilot plant setting, preferably in polymer processing.
  • Proficiency in using laboratory equipment and analytical instruments.
  • Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Fluency or intermediate level in English.
