xcube.bio is seeking a SVP of Corporate Development and AI Strategy to partner directly with our CEO and CFO in sourcing, structuring, and executing M&A, partnership, and investment deals, as well as overseeing the execution of our AI strategy.

Role Overview

Reporting directly to our CFO, the SVP of Corporate Development and AI Strategy will support our Executive team in identifying, structuring, and negotiating new partnerships and strategic initiatives in the biotech sector.

The SVP of Corporate Development and AI Strategy will focus on sourcing, structuring, and executing corporate transactions and other strategic initiatives to advance the company's business plan, including overseeing the execution of our AI platform and ecosystem strategy.

This role is for part-time 80%, with potential to increase to 100%.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in assessing and communicating key transaction implications (commercial, accounting, legal) in English, financial analysis and modeling, and driving data-backed decision-making throughout the deal lifecycle. Experience managing multi-party transactions within tight deadlines and strict regulatory frameworks is essential. Initial experience in AI and data science is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead due diligence on financial, tax, and commercial aspects.
• Model various structuring scenarios and advise on optimal deal terms.
• Coordinate multiple work streams—financial, legal, operational—on long-term projects with tight deadlines.
• Lead Advanced Financial Analysis:
• Build, audit, and maintain complex Excel-based financial models to support valuation and scenario planning.
• Conduct detailed analysis of target financial statements—P&L, balance sheet, cash flow—and present insights to the C-suite.
• Artificial Intelligence and Data Science Strategy:
• Oversee the technical strategy, architecture, and execution of our AI platform and ecosystem.
• Structure technical and data partnerships with leading AI infrastructure providers.

Candidate Requirements

• Minimum 15 years of experience in investment banking, with a strong track record in highly regulated sectors, especially financial services.
• Experience leading corporate finance deals such as mergers, acquisitions, strategic investments, and capital raises (minimum 10 years).
• Deep expertise in financial modeling, including building three-statement models for transaction analysis.
• Prior coding experience (VBA, Python) is preferred.
• Initial experience in AI and data science is highly desirable, along with ongoing academic engagement in these fields.

Education & Qualifications:

• Undergraduate and Master’s degrees in a quantitative discipline (Mathematics, Physics, Data Science, or similar) from top-tier institutions.
• Accounting qualifications (e.g., CFA charter holder) are highly desirable.
