Zusammenfassung

Lonza in Visp, Switzerland seeks a seasoned Supply Planning Manager to lead the site’s end-to-end planning, ensuring reliable production and optimized inventory. You will own the MPS, drive S&OP/IBP processes, and partner with Operations, Quality, Procurement, Logistics, and Finance.

You will lead a team, develop SAP/IBP capabilities, and push digital transformation while complying with cGMP and quality standards.

Qualifikationen

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
  • 10+ years of progressive supply chain management experience within a GMP-regulated manufacturing environment.
  • Proven people leadership and team development experience.
  • Business fluent in English; German is an advantage.
  • Deep expertise in MPS, MRP, RCCP, S&OP, and Integrated Business Planning.
  • Strong collaboration and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience with SAP/IBP and digital transformation initiatives.

Aufgaben

  • Own and optimize the site Master Production Schedule (MPS) to align demand, supply, inventory, capacity, and material availability.
  • Lead short-, medium-, and long-term supply planning processes; support S&OP/IBP with capacity forecasts and risk assessments.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to resolve constraints and drive execution.
  • Manage inventory strategy, capacity planning, and risk mitigation while balancing service levels and working capital.
  • Establish and monitor planning KPIs and maintain master data; drive continuous improvement.
  • Lead, develop, and coach the Supply Planning team with SAP, IBP, MRP/MPS, and inventory management.
  • Drive digitalization and process optimization in line with cGMP and safety standards.

The Supply Planning Manager is accountable for leading the site’s end-to-end supply planning function, ensuring reliable production execution, optimized inventory levels, and full material and capacity readiness for manufacturing operations. The role owns the Master Production Schedule (MPS), supply planning governance, inventory strategy, and planning risk management across short-, medium-, and long-term horizons. The position leads and develops the Supply Planning team while driving alignment between Operations, Quality, MSAT, Procurement, Logistics, Engineering, Finance, and Project Management. The Supply Planning Manager plays a critical role in supporting site performance, supply reliability, growth projects, tech transfers, digital transformation initiatives, and long-term supply chain strategy.

What you will do:
  • Own and optimize the site Master Production Schedule (MPS), ensuring alignment of demand, supply, inventory, capacity, and material availability to maintain reliable product supply.
  • Lead short-, medium-, and long-term supply planning processes, supporting S&OP/IBP through capacity forecasts, inventory projections, scenario planning, and risk assessments.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Operations, Quality, Procurement, Logistics, MSAT, Engineering, Finance, and Project Management to resolve constraints and drive execution.
  • Manage inventory strategy, capacity planning, supply risk mitigation, and business continuity plans while balancing service levels, operational flexibility, and working capital targets.
  • Establish and monitor planning KPIs, maintain planning master data, and drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance overall supply chain performance.
  • Lead, develop, and coach the Supply Planning team, building capabilities in SAP, IBP, MRP/MPS, inventory management, and capacity planning while fostering a high-performance culture.
  • Drive digitalization, process optimization, and supply chain transformation initiatives, ensuring compliance with cGMP, quality standards, audit readiness, and a strong safety culture.
What we are looking for:
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
  • More than 10 years of progressive supply chain management experience within a GMP-regulated manufacturing environment.
  • Proven people leadership and team management experience, with a strong track record of developing and coaching high-performing teams.
  • Business fluent in English; German language skills are an advantage.
  • Deep expertise in MPS, MRP, RCCP, S&OP, and Integrated Business Planning, enabling effective supply chain planning and business decision-making.
  • Strong collaborator and influencer with the ability to lead complex cross-functional initiatives, manage stakeholders, and navigate ambiguity in dynamic environments.
  • Demonstrated experience in supply chain risk management, digital transformation, SAP/IBP systems, process standardization, and continuous improvement initiatives that drive operational excellence.
