Job summary

Applitrack seeks a Substitute Paraprofessional (Non-Certified) to support students district-wide. The role involves assisting in classrooms, supervising during lunch, recess, and transitions, and ensuring student safety under supervision.

The ideal candidate will have a paraprofessional certification or higher education credits, be punctual, collaborative, and able to communicate with students, families, and staff. Stipends accrue after 30/60/90 days of service.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assist students across school settings (classroom, lunch, recess, restroom).
• Frequent walking, standing, and sitting as part of daily duties.
• Monitor student behavior and communicate with staff and parents.
• Leave notes for the regular paraprofessional at day’s end.
• Interact in a friendly, positive manner with students and families.
• Help protect students, equipment, and facilities and ensure safety.

Compensation:

• $115.02 per full-day Non-Certified Paraprofessional assignment
• $123.24 per full-day Non-Certified Paraprofessional – Special Program assignment

Qualifications:

• Current State of Illinois Paraprofessional Certificate or Substitute Teaching Certificate or Professional Educators License registered in Will County/Region 56
• Associates Degree or higher; or 60 hours of college coursework; or ACT Work Keys; or ETC ParaPro Test

OR

• Current State of Illinois Paraprofessional Approval
• High School Diploma

• Ability to follow and enforce rules, policies, and procedures

Job Description:

• $100.00 stipend after 30 days worked
• $125.00 stipend after 60 days worked
• $150.00 stipend after 90 days worked

Selection/Hiring Process:

• Submit the following documents:
  • Official transcripts showing 60+ credit hoursor ACT Work Keys or ETC ParaPro Test
  • Driver's License and Social Security Card (DHS Authorization documents if applicable)
  • Physical (dated within 90 days)
  • TB Test (dated within 1-year)
• Complete the following:
  • Fingerprint-based Criminal Background check performed at the District 202 Administration Building
