Zusammenfassung

ETH Zurich is seeking a Student Assistant for the Strategy and Analytics Team to support the QdL project in quantifying teaching engagement. You will prepare and analyse teaching data, turn results into charts and slides, and maintain project documentation.

The role includes administrative tasks and supporting related initiatives. The position is fixed-term for up to one year, with a start date by arrangement and approximately 10–15 hours per week, paid based on hours worked.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s (from the 3rd semester) or Master’s student at a Swiss university in psychology, sociology, education or related social science.
• First experience in a teaching context (tutor/TA) or supervising exercise sessions.
• Confident with Excel and comfortable with structured data.
• Accurate and structured in work; attentive to data and documentation.
• Able to explain results concisely to non-analysts.
• Proficient in German and English (written and spoken).

Aufgaben

• Prepare and structure existing data sets and carry out descriptive analyses (primarily in Excel).
• Turn results into charts, tables, and short slide sets; present to the team.
• Document data sources, definitions and processing steps for traceability.
• Provide administrative support: documentation, correspondence, minute-taking, scheduling, filing.
• Assist with meeting and workshop preparation, including materials and follow-up docs.
• Conduct basic desk research and preparatory work for related Strategy & Analytics projects.
