VAT Group is seeking a Strategic Sourcing Manager for Raw Material & Surface Treatment to drive global sourcing strategies and partner with key stakeholders across Business Units, Engineering, and Operations. The role focuses on delivering sustainable supply base performance and cost reductions while expanding Best Cost Country sourcing.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years in strategic sourcing, experience in global category management, and strong collaboration across international teams,

Competenze

• 5+ years in-depth strategic and operational sourcing experience with a solid working knowledge of global category management.
• Experience in category sourcing markets and production techniques.
• Knowledge of sourcing in Eastern Europe, Asia and spend relocation activities.
• Strong IT skills including Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
• Experience in a global, complex organization.
• Cross-function / category team management.
• Sensible and empathetic communication with suppliers and stakeholders.

Mansioni

• Manage own material categories (capacity, knowledge management, performance).
• Contribute to the global Direct Material & Supply Base Performance (QCD).
• Represent own direct material categories within the VAT organization.
• Achieve cost optimization, supply base optimization and Best Cost Country Sourcing objectives.
• Provide forward-looking guidance on trends and opportunities in own categories.
• Align category team objectives with company objectives and PDP processes.
• Lead category sourcing strategies using defined methods and tools.
• Oversee supplier relationship management in Switzerland, Malaysia and Romania.
