Zusammenfassung

World Meteorological Organization (WMO) CREWS Secretariat in Geneva seeks a Programme Officer - Policy and External Relations to lead external engagement, policy coordination and resource mobilization for CREWS. The role reports to the Director and supports partnerships with donor governments, IFIs, and development partners.

The candidate should have a Master’s degree and at least 7 years in international relations, policy development or resource mobilization, with UN or multilateral experience

Qualifikationen

• Master's degree or equivalent in Environmental Sciences, Development Studies, International Relations, Programme Management or a Related discipline.
• A first-level university degree or equivalent in combination with two years of additional directly relevant experience may be accepted in lieu of the master's degree.
• Minimum of 7 years of progressively responsible experience in international relations, partnership development, resource mobilization, policy development, climate adaptation, disaster risk reduction, or international development.
• Experience engaging with bilateral and multilateral donors.
• Experience developing successful funding proposals and resource mobilization strategies.
• Experience working within the United Nations system, international organizations, development banks, or similar multilateral institutions is highly desirable.
• Experience supporting high-level governance processes and international partnerships is desirable.

Aufgaben

• External Relations and Strategic Partnerships: Develop and implement the external relations and partnership strategy for CREWS.
• Policy and Strategic Coordination: Monitor international policy developments related to climate change and advise on implications for CREWS.
• Resource Mobilization: Develop and implement resource mobilization strategies and coordinate donor engagement.
• Communications and Visibility: Contribute to strategic communications and outreach and oversee key messaging for external audiences.
