• Manage commercial aspects of purchase orders with suppliers for assigned commodities.
• Contribute to supplier strategy including management and optimization of supplier panels.
• Lead negotiations and involve global commodity leader for key strategic material and allocate demands to specific suppliers.
• Ensure selected supplier is capable of meeting all GE Vernova requirements; gain internal buy-in for any exceptions.
• Manage purchase order changes as necessary.
• Manage commercial claims with suppliers regarding delivery and quality issues.
• Develop content expertise for assigned commodities with support of cross functional stakeholders.
• Identify and support process improvement activities.
• Communicate and resolve complex issues, building consensus and commitment from key stakeholders.
• Utilize persuasion skills to influence others.
• Grow to be able to use sound judgment to make decisions or solve moderately complex tasks and issues.
