Job summary

Elanco Basel seeks an Operations Director, External Manufacturing to lead the performance of the contract manufacturing partner portfolio, ensuring continuity of supply and high partner performance. Based in Basel, you will provide strategic and tactical oversight across product supply, quality, compliance and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering or Science.
• 5-7 years of experience in a cGMP manufacturing environment.
• Proven ability to influence stakeholders across functions to achieve business outcomes.
• Fluency in English and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in SAP, Veeva and standard Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Lead governance and performance management for the contract manufacturing portfolio, establishing operating forums, account plans, performance metrics, and improvement priorities.
• Ensure contract manufacturing partners meet financial, quality, supply chain, health and safety, regulatory and SOX requirements.
• Partner with Procurement on contract negotiations, renewals, strategy, dispute resolution, and ongoing compliance.
• Drive reliable, cost-effective product supply by coordinating across Supply, Technical Services, Quality, HSE and other partners to resolve issues and maintain product quality.
• Lead risk reviews, productivity and continuous improvement initiatives, vendor due diligence, tech transfers, and product change implementation.
