Job summary

headcount AG, located in Lucerne, Switzerland, seeks a Global Head of Manufacturing to lead our worldwide manufacturing network and drive strategy, performance and long-term development of our manufacturing footprint.

You will shape the global manufacturing strategy and oversee multiple sites to optimize OTIF, quality and cost, while leading in a multinational, matrix environment. English fluency is essential; Japanese is a plus. Reports to the Chief Supply Chain Officer and is based in Lucerne.

Qualifications

• 20+ years of professional manufacturing leadership experience.
• 5-10+ years in a multi-site leadership role.
• Background in dental/medical consumables or regulated industry.
• Experience in multinational matrix environments.
• Master's degree in engineering or related field.
• Excellent English; Japanese a plus.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute global manufacturing and network strategy.
• Lead and optimize multiple manufacturing sites globally.
• Drive operational excellence, OTIF, quality, productivity and cost improvements.
• Manage capacity allocation and production transfers between factories.
• Review and approve plant budgets, product costs and manufacturing CAPEX.
• Ensure quality and regulatory compliance, including ISO 13485.
• Develop manufacturing capabilities through continuous improvement, automation and process simplification.
• Lead Plant and Production Heads in a global matrix organization.
• Represent Manufacturing within the Supply Chain organization and Global IBP process.

We are looking for an experienced Global Head of Manufacturing to lead our global manufacturing organization and drive the strategy, performance and long-term development of our manufacturing network worldwide.
Key Responsibilities

• Define and execute the global manufacturing and network strategy
• Lead and optimize multiple manufacturing sites globally
• Drive operational excellence, OTIF, quality, productivity and cost improvements
• Manage capacity allocation and production/technology transfers between factories
• Review and approve plant budgets, product costs and manufacturing CAPEX
• Ensure quality and regulatory compliance, including ISO 13485
• Develop manufacturing capabilities through continuous improvement, automation and process simplification
• Lead Plant and Production Heads in a global matrix organization
• Represent Manufacturing within the Supply Chain organization and Global IBP process

Your Profile

• 20+ years of overall professional experience
• 5-10+ years in a comparable multi-site manufacturing leadership role
• Very strong manufacturing background, ideally within dental/medical consumables or a related regulated industry
• Proven track record of driving cost, performance and operational improvements
• Strong experience working in a multinational and matrix environment
• Strong customer, quality and compliance orientation
• Excellent leadership, interpersonal and cross-cultural skills
• Master's degree in Chemical Engineering, Engineering or equivalent
• Very good English; Japanese would be an advantage

This is a senior global leadership position for an accomplished manufacturing executive who can combine strategic network leadership with strong operational execution and continuous improvement.
