Qualifikationen

• PhD in crystallography, structural biology, physics or related discipline with deep diffraction data processing expertise (5–10 years) and openness to cross-techniques.
• Recognised standing in crystallographic/structural-biology community with established track record beyond early-career stage.
• Experience translating scientific methods into software or collaborating with software engineers.
• Excellent communication skills in English.
• Willingness to travel internationally up to 30% of the time.

Aufgaben

• Maintain, develop, and advance XDS and related data-processing software across multiple crystallography techniques, ensuring robustness and performance.
• Define and drive the roadmap for DECTRIS' crystallographic software across techniques and adapt to modern detectors and computing environments.
• Act as scientific point of contact for global crystallography community, supporting users and gathering needs.
• Build and manage scientific and technology partnerships to strengthen software and extend reach.
• Collaborate with professional software engineers and external partners to translate methods into reliable tools.
• Engage with beamline scientists and facilities to ground software development in real experimental requirements.
• Represent DECTRIS' software and scientific capabilities within the community.
