Fusalp is seeking a Store Manager for a flagship Bern region boutique. You will lead on the floor, balancing commercial priorities with exceptional client experience, while guiding a diverse international team.

Ideal candidates bring 5+ years in premium retail, strong leadership skills, and fluency in German and English. Expect a 100% permanent contract with a structured development path and seasonal flexibility.

Qualifikationen

• Minimum 5 years of premium retail experience, including leadership roles.
• Strong understanding of clienteling, sales targets, conversion, AOV, and retail KPIs.
• German language is required for Bern Canton-based clientele.
• English is required for international clientele and internal communication.
• Proven ability to lead, coach and develop a team and address performance issues.
• Able to plan, prioritise, and ensure follow-through in a demanding seasonal environment.
• Flexible retail rota including weekends and holidays.

What will help you succeed

Here, experience matters. We are looking for someone who has already proven that theycan lead a premium retail environment, drive results and create a team that clients andcolleagues can rely on.

Gstaad is a high-expectation retail environment with strong seasonal peaks. This is not aback-office management role: you will be visible on the floor, close to clients and theteam, while keeping full control of commercial and operational priorities. The boutiqueteam is international, and the Store Manager is expected to bring structure, consistencyand leadership every day.

Must-have

• At least 5 years of solid retail experience, ideally including several years in a Store Manager, Assistant Store Manager or comparable leadership role.
• Proven experience in premium or luxury retail, with strong understanding of clienteling, sales targets, conversion, average basket, UPT and other retail KPIs.
• German is required, as the boutique is located in the Canton of Bern and serves a German-speaking market.
• English is required for our international clientele and internal communication.
• Demonstrated experience leading, coaching and developing a team, with the confidence to address performance issues when needed.
• Strong operational discipline: able to plan, prioritise, follow up and ensure that actions are completed.
• A hands-on leadership style and the ability to stay composed and decisive in a demanding seasonal environment.
• Availability to work a flexible retail rota, including weekends, public holidays and peak trading periods.

Nice-to-have

• French is highly appreciated.
• Experience in luxury fashion, ski, outdoor or technical apparel.
• Knowledge of the Gstaad / Bernese Oberland retail environment or an established local network.
• Any additional language relevant to an international clientele.
