You will shape reliability, security, and deployment foundations while collaborating with a small autonomous team to deliver practical platform improvements at startup speed.

Qualifikationen

• 10+ years of experience in platform engineering, infrastructure, DevOps, SRE, or related roles with a track record of operating high-traffic production systems.
• Deep hands-on experience with Kubernetes in production and judicious use of alternatives when appropriate.
• Proven experience operating software in BYOC, single-tenant, on-premises, or air-gapped environments.
• Strong AWS expertise; familiarity with GCP/Azure is a plus.
• Advanced Terraform experience including reusable modules, secure state management, and multi-account architectures.
• Strong PostgreSQL expertise including performance tuning, migrations under load, replication, and reliability.
• Practical experience with SOC 2, ISO audits, penetration testing, and enterprise security reviews.
• Understanding of infrastructure security, observability, incident response, deployment automation, and production operations.
• Familiarity with TypeScript and Node.js from a platform perspective.
• Product mindset and developer empathy to translate customer problems into infrastructure solutions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to work across stakeholders.
• Autonomy, pragmatism, and collaboration in a remote-first startup.
• Based in Europe, with preference for Netherlands-listed candidates.

Aufgaben

• Own and scale the cloud infrastructure supporting the platform, including compute, networking, and data-layer services.
• Lead BYOC capabilities including provisioning, upgrades, observability, and scalable deployments.
• Operationalize and productize Infrastructure as Code and GitOps foundations to enable quick, reliable shipping.
• Establish reliability as a core product with meaningful SLOs and incident management processes.
• Own and scale data infrastructure such as PostgreSQL, Redis, Elasticsearch, and ClickHouse.
• Drive security and compliance initiatives (SOC 2, GDPR, etc.).
• Make architectural decisions balancing scalability, reliability, security, and velocity.
• Collaborate with engineering and customers to turn needs into platform improvements.
• Contribute to the technical roadmap and company strategy.
• Support incidents and promote pragmatic operational practices.
