Zusammenfassung

QA Ltd is seeking a Backend Engineer in Mendrisio, Switzerland. The role carries end-to-end ownership from system design to deployment, with a focus on AI-driven improvements and robust observability. You will join a cross-functional team and contribute to an AI-first engineering culture.

You’ll collaborate with frontend, UI/UX, and product teams, work with SRE for deployments, and participate in the Backend Chapter. A hybrid remote policy and relocation support are provided.

Qualifikationen

• Experience using AI tools within development workflows and strong critical thinking.
• Backend coding with Kotlin and/or Python; databases incl. PostgreSQL/Redis.
• Familiar with RESTful APIs, WebSocket, GraphQL and modern web patterns.
• Experience with Git-based workflows (GitHub/Bitbucket).
• Cloud familiarity (Docker, AWS or Azure) and distributed systems basics.
• Observability, logging, error tracking and production troubleshooting.
• Security-conscious development practices and secure coding.

• Own end-to-end product delivery from design to deployment and observability.
• Collaborate with frontend, UI/UX, and product teams to ship features quickly.
• Work with SRE to ensure smooth deployments and debuggable trunks.
• Contribute to the Backend Chapter and cross-team activities.
• Help shape AI integrations for workflows and user features.
