Jobgether seeks a Staff Applied AI Researcher (Agentic Search) based in Switzerland to lead research across retrieval, ranking, and agentic search architectures. You will mentor engineers, own a core search component, and translate research into measurable product improvements.

You will shape the strategy for agent-native search systems, deploy scalable architectures, and tackle latency, reliability, and cost in production environments. This is a high-impact, leadership-focused role.

Formación

• At least 8 years of experience in applied AI, ML, or software engineering.
• Proven track record of designing, deploying ML/AI systems at scale.
• Deep expertise in IR, search technologies, ranking, or RAG.
• Strong understanding of transformers and embedding models.
• Experience with LLM-integrated systems and knowledge-intensive apps.
• Proven ability to design evaluation frameworks and experiments.
• Strong Python programming skills; robust, scalable solutions.
• Publications in top AI/ML conferences.

Responsabilidades

• Define and drive research strategy for agent-native search systems.
• Design multi-stage retrieval architectures incl. querying, retrieval, reranking.
• Develop agent-native search for low-latency and iterative tasks.
• Experiment with embedding, sparse and hybrid retrieval methods.
• Train and optimize ranking models for agent-driven workflows.
• Ground LLMs with real-time web data, ensuring trust and freshness.
• Collaborate on new evaluation metrics and production-ready research.
• Balance search relevance with latency and cost; drive deployment.
• Mentor researchers and engineers; guide long-term research strategy.
