Job summary

Swissquote is seeking a hands-on Site Reliability Engineer to ensure reliability, availability, and performance of our production eFX/Crypto platforms. You will focus on Kubernetes, production operations, automation, observability, and infrastructure reliability across on‑premise and private cloud infrastructure.

Key responsibilities include operating Kubernetes clusters, maintaining CI/CD pipelines, and implementing scalable solutions.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in SRE, DevOps, or similar production engineering role.
• Strong hands-on Kubernetes experience in production environments — mandatory.
• Linux administration and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience with Docker and container technologies.
• Hands-on experience with on-premise infrastructure and/or private cloud environments.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code and automation tools such as Terraform and Ansible.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with observability and monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Elastic/Kibana.
• Good programming and scripting skills in Python and Shell.
• Strong understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTPS, HTTP, load balancing).
• Good understanding of SRE principles, SLIs/SLOs/SLAs, availability and performance.
• Good understanding of Java web apps and servers like Spring Boot and Apache Tomcat.
• Fluent English, willingness to learn French.

Responsibilities

• Monitor production systems and incidents to ensure uptime and performance.
• Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot Kubernetes clusters and containerized applications in production.
• Contribute to scalable and reliable infrastructure designs.
• Automate IT and operational processes to reduce manual work.
• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.
• Improve observability with tools like Prometheus, Grafana, Elastic/Kibana.
• Perform fault analysis and root-cause investigations with preventive actions.
• Conduct stress, resilience, DR, and BC/DR testing for platform stability.
• Collaborate with teams to improve production readiness and reliability.
• Participate in on-call rotations and provide production support.
• Continuously improve automation and reliability practices.
