Job summary

Swissquote is seeking a hands-on Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to ensure reliability, availability, and performance of our production eFX/Crypto platforms. You will focus on Kubernetes, automation, observability, and infrastructure reliability across on‑prem and private cloud environments.

You will work with Infrastructure and Development engineers to operate and continuously improve production readiness, contribute to scalable solutions, and help implement CI/CD pipelines and deployment

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in SRE, DevOps, Systems Engineering, Platform Engineering, or similar production engineering role.
• Strong hands-on Kubernetes experience in production environments — mandatory.
• Solid understanding of Kubernetes architecture and day-to-day operations, including Services mesh and Istio, health checks, DNS, networking, and load balancing.
• Linux administration and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience with infrastructure as code and automation tools such as Terraform and Ansible.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and observability/monitoring tooling (Prometheus, Grafana, Elastic/Kibana).
• Good programming and scripting skills in Python and Shell.
• Fluent English, willing to learn French.

Responsibilities

• Monitor production systems, respond to incidents, and ensure uptime and performance.
• Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot Kubernetes clusters and containerized applications in production, including on-premise infrastructure.
• Contribute to scalable and reliable infrastructure design and implementation.
• Automate IT and operational processes to reduce manual work and improve efficiency.
• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.
• Monitor and improve system observability using Prometheus, Grafana, and Elastic/Kibana.
• Perform root-cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
• Conduct stress, resilience, DR, and BCP testing to validate platform stability.
• Collaborate with Infrastructure and Development teams to improve production readiness.
• Participate in on-call rotation and provide production support.
• Continuously improve operational processes, automation, monitoring, and reliability practices.
