SRE for Crypto/eFX Platforms — Kubernetes & Automation

Job summary

Swissquote is seeking a hands-on Site Reliability Engineer to ensure reliability and performance of our production eFX/Crypto platforms. The role focuses on Kubernetes, production operations, automation, observability and infrastructure reliability across on‑prem and private cloud environments.

You will work with Infrastructure and Development teams to improve production readiness, deploy scalable solutions, and participate in an on‑call rotation to support critical systems.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in SRE/DevOps or similar production engineering role.
• Kubernetes production experience is mandatory.
• Linux administration and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience with Docker and container tech.
• IaC with Terraform and Ansible.
• CI/CD pipelines experience.
• Observability with Prometheus, Grafana and Elastic/Kibana.
• Programming in Python and Shell.
• Strong networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, TLS).
• Understanding of SRE principles: SLIs, SLOs, SLAs.
• Knowledge of Java web apps (Spring Boot/Tomcat).
• Fluent English; willingness to learn French.

Responsibilities

• Monitor production systems, respond to incidents and ensure uptime.
• Operate and troubleshoot Kubernetes clusters and on‑prem infrastructure.
• Contribute to scalable, reliable infrastructure designs.
• Automate IT and operational processes for efficiency.
• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.
• Monitor observability using Prometheus, Grafana, Elastic/Kibana.
• Perform root‑cause analysis and preventive actions.
• Conduct stress, resilience, and disaster recovery testing.
• Collaborate with teams to improve production readiness.
• Participate in on‑call rotation and provide support.
• Continuously improve automation and reliability practices.
