Overview

The Senior Project Manager and Sampling Team Lead serves as a key leader within the research operations team, orchestrating global healthcare market research and real-world evidence projects with a focus on excellence, financial prudence, and timely execution. This role supports strategic operational decisions, as well as overseeing the administrative and logistical aspects necessary to build a high-performing delivery team and achieve strong project outcomes.

In this expanded role, the Sample Team Lead will manage the internal sampling team and oversee KJT’s proprietary panel, ClinicalVoice Community. This includes ensuring that project work is effectively distributed and prioritized among team members, optimizing efficiencies, and promptly identifying and resolving any challenges. The role also involves driving revenue growth by capitalizing on project opportunities internally before considering outsourcing, as well as identifying and leveraging growth potential for the panel. Additionally, the Sample Team Lead will ensure that basic maintenance tasks for both the panel and supporting tools are consistently managed.

Information Security: The person in this role is responsible for being at all times compliant with the KJT Group Information Security Policy and all other policies, processes and documentation which relates to information security within KJT Group.

Education/Experience:

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, Marketing or similar field of study highly preferred
  • 15+ years of market research field management experience, ideally in healthcare
  • 5+ years of project management experience, ideally in global healthcare

Computer Skills:

  • Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
  • Experience with project management software
  • Basic knowledge using survey programming platforms, including survey testing and survey logic (actual survey programming not required)

Responsibilities

Project Management

Champion Project Excellence: Advocate for excellence in all aspects of project delivery, ensuring project outcomes meet KJT’s high standards.

- Strategically support accounts and corporate initiatives for long-term success and impact.

Complex Project Oversight & Provide Mentorship: Manage large-scale and complex projects with a focus on quality, efficiency and financial integrity.

- Lead by example, encouraging innovation and solutions among colleagues.

- Offer mentorship to entire project teams through every phase, from planning to execution, proactively addressing challenges to meet both deliverable and financial goals.

Foster Collaborative Leadership: Promote cross-team alignment and streamline workflows by identifying and enhancing processes and standards. Oversee non-project initiatives by delegating and utilizing available resources to support company growth and goals.

Support Department Leadership: Assist in overseeing departmental functions and provide leadership in the manager's absence.

Manage Project Workflow & Logistics: Collaborate with team members, aligning requirements and standards while delivering impactful updates; inclusive to timelines, documentation, financials, task assignments, resourcing, tracking and overall performance reporting

Oversee Data Collection Process: Manage data collection from initial sample plan development, screener generation, sourcing, procurement and onboarding, scheduling system, sample processing, supplier management, performance monitoring and reporting through project close.

Coordinate Project Support Services: Liaise with cross-team functions including transcriptions, translations, compliance, instrument QA, etc.

Build Strong Relationships: Foster strong, trust-based relationships with clients and internal teams through consistent, informative communications to provide operational updates

Ensure Compliance & Data Security: Uphold the highest standards of compliance and data security throughout all operations.

Manage the Sampling Team and Service

  • Lead and mentor the sampling team, fostering professional growth.
  • Delegate and prioritize tasks, monitor workload, and ensure team goals are met.
  • Conduct performance reviews, set clear objectives, and provide feedback.
  • Identify and implement process improvements within project delivery.
  • Act as the escalation point for team challenges, resolving issues promptly.
  • Deliver training and development opportunities to enhance team expertise.

Revenue Optimization

  • Ensure revenue is optimized before outsourcing sample
  • Identify and track panel growth opportunities.
  • Advocate for panel growth and innovation to align with corporate goals.

Oversee KJT Proprietary Panel

  • Recommend policies and procedures
  • Ensure the panel is maintained and utilized to its fullest potential.
  • Generate monthly panel performance reports and KPI metrics.
  • Oversee client panels; build knowledge and expertise across accounts, elevating KJT, managing client panels from proposal to performance tracking.

Information Security Management
