As the Service Offering Director for the EMEA region, this role is critical in driving the future of Vertiv's service portfolio, with a strong emphasis on both a traditional service offering portfolio (Contract, Non-Contract and Project Services) and future service portfolio including digital solutions. The director will be responsible for developing and managing a comprehensive service strategy that aligns with current trends and future market needs. We are looking for a future focused, though leader to help develop innovative and profitable strategies to exceed the needs of our customers.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee service business deliverables and business plans for NPDI (New Product Development) at EMEA level – be the champion!
  • Own the pricing strategy for the EMEA Service Region working with all key stakeholders.
  • Lead the strategic development of Vertiv's service offerings in the EMEA region, focusing both on traditional service and digital transformation/cutting-edge technologies.
  • Develop detailed requirements for new service offerings based on voice of the Customer and understanding of their usage and buying journey.
  • Work with the Service Leadership teams to align messaging and offering direction and also remain aligned with the offering Portfolio roadmap globally.
  • Drive innovation in service delivery, leveraging digital tools and platforms to enhance customer experience and operational efficiency.
  • Oversee the entire service lifecycle, from conceptualization and market analysis to deployment and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with global teams to ensure regional service strategies are in sync with the company's overall vision and objectives.
  • Develop robust business plans for new service initiatives, incorporating market research, financial modeling, and risk management.
  • Enhance the capabilities of the regional sales team through targeted training programs, focusing on digital solutions and advanced service offerings.
  • Act as a primary contact point for industry partners, customers, and internal teams, integrating valuable insights into service development.
  • Utilize data analytics to monitor service performance and implement strategies for ongoing optimization.
  • Support development of the launch plan and execute with the Project Manager and cross-functional regional teams for new service offerings in the EMEA region.
  • Develop business case(s) for new product (s) and capabilities needed to support the service business.
  • Develop marketing messaging, product collateral with support from cross-functional teams to support new product launches and sustaining product evolutions to include presentations, product demos, competitive comparisons, product documentation, and other sales enablement tools.
  • Attend tradeshows, visit customers, meet with partners, and collaborate in industry bodies to ensure an accurate voice of customer is heard in all product plans.
  • Develop / harvest historical sales and margin data for analysis of service, markets, and product data.
  • Define the Price/Configure logics to be implemented in the regional CPQ solutions.
  • Drive the Service SKU architecture to be created and maintained in the ERP aligning to the global Enterprise Product Hierarchy driving financial and business reporting and KPIs.

Requirements:

  • At least 5 years of experience in service management or product management, with a focus on digital solutions and technologies.
  • Comprehensive understanding of the modern service landscape, including digital transformation trends in data centers and related fields.
  • Proven track record in strategic planning and execution within a global business environment.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to work across diverse cultural backgrounds.
  • Fluent in English and some competence in another European language.
  • Excellent analytical, research, and communication skills.

Strong Preference:

  • Experience in developing and managing digital service solutions in data centers or similar industries.
  • Familiarity with Vertiv's product and service portfolio, including digital and IT infrastructure solutions.
