For our customer, a global Tech Company based in Zurich, we are looking for a Software Engineer (Java, C++).

Position Description :

Role Title : Software Engineer II

Duration : 13th of July 2024 till 7th of Feb 2025

Working Hours : Normal business hours

Summary :

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer to temporarily fill a key role on the Server Traffic Management client-side library team, which handles over 5 billion QPS daily. This position will focus on maintaining, enhancing, and analyzing the caching and aggregation domain of the product while the primary engineer is on extended leave.

• Maintenance & Enhancement : Maintain the existing caching and aggregation functionality within the product, implement minor enhancements based on usage patterns, and address identified technical debt.
• Issue Resolution : Proactively identify and resolve emerging issues within the caching and aggregation domain to ensure optimal system performance and user experience.
• Feature Parity : Contribute to decreasing the feature parity gap by implementing minor improvements in other areas of Extensible Stubs.
• Operational Support : Participate in on-call rotation, addressing customer questions and operational tickets related to caching and aggregation.
• Adoption Analysis : Analyze adoption patterns and identify opportunities to further leverage caching and aggregation features within the product
• Customer Support : Provide technical assistance to customers actively adopting caching and aggregation features.
• Dashboard & Reporting Improvement : Enhance existing dashboards and reporting tools used during the onboarding process for caching and aggregation features.
• Documentation Enhancement : Improve and expand technical documentation, specifically focusing on caching and aggregation capabilities.

Your profile

• Proficient Software Engineering : Demonstrated expertise in C++ and Java, with Go experience considered a plus.
• Distributed Systems and Technical Design : Experience creating clear, well-structured technical designs for software solutions.
• Problem-Solving : Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve complex issues.
• Completed degree or equivalent training in IT
• Communication & Collaboration : Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• A relevant working / residency permit or Swiss / EU citizenship is required
