Pilatus Flugzeugwerke AG in Stans, Switzerland, seeks a Software Engineer to join Flight Test. You will contribute to front and backend development of web-based services used by the Flight Test Department, build and integrate tools for automated measurement data, video processing, and data archival, and manage CI/CD pipelines in a high-autonomy environment.

Applicants should hold a higher degree in IT or engineering, have experience in software or web development, Linux servers and Docker,

Responsibilities

• Front and backend development of web-based services for the Flight Test Department (Django, Django-Ninja, Pydantic).
• Update and develop software for automated measurement data and video processing (FFmpeg, Parquet).
• Manage code repositories, Python packages and CI/CD pipelines (Git, GitHub, uv, Dockhand).
• Collaborate with IT for Azure Cloud integrations, identity management and storage.
• Support flight test operations by capturing data and monitoring processing.

Your Tasks

• Front and backend development of existing and new web-based services used within the Flight Test Department using (django, django-ninja, pydantic, )
• Update and further development of custom software for automated measurement data and video processing, archival and management (Apache Airflow, , C++, ffmpeg, parquet)
• Management of code repositories, python packages and CI/CD (Git, GitHub, uv, Dockhand)
• Interaction with IT-Department for identity management, Azure Cloud Integrations, Storage and software development tools (Azure, GitHub CoPilot, WSL)
• Support flight test operatons py capturing recorded data and videos, and monitor automatic processing

• Experience in software or web development, Linux server and Docker
