We are looking for a Site Leader responsible for IT products supporting the operations at the Oberdorf (Basel-Landschaft, CH) site. This role oversees the technology, performance, and portfolio of standard and local IT products, ensuring efficient coordination to deliver application roadmap strategies using Agile and Release Management. The Site Leader also manages financial TCO for site operations and contributes to investment prioritization. Join us!

Overview

The Site Leader will manage local IT products and work toward standardization or platform-based solutions in alignment with the site’s IT strategy and maturity roadmap, lead and support project and portfolio implementations, and collaborate with internal and external partners to ensure successful delivery of initiatives.

Responsibilities
  • Take ownership of the site IT product ecosystem, managing local products and working toward standardization or platform-based solutions according to the site’s IT strategy and maturity roadmap.
  • Lead and support all project and portfolio implementations, including technology transfer initiatives and related investments.
  • Drive collaboration and execution with internal and external partners to ensure successful delivery of initiatives.
  • Track progress of product development and deployment using Agile Release Management practices.
  • Champion and role model diversity and inclusion within the team and broader organization.
  • Collaborate with the technical support team to respond to user issues, introduce new technologies, and present practical solutions.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with internal stakeholders by actively listening, clarifying needs, and providing effective responses.
  • Coordinate and lead discussions as the primary point of contact for onboarding new departments or teams.
  • Collaborate effectively on quality, compliance, and cybersecurity remediation and improvement initiatives.
  • Implement training programs that meet stakeholder needs, improve overall quality, and support audits.
  • Lead process and system improvement projects from planning through execution.
  • Manage budgets, estimate return on investment, secure funding, and plan initiatives in digital transformation, data strategy, advanced analytics, and Technology Lifecycle Management (TLM), in partnership with business and IT teams.
  • Prioritize product demand and backlog using economic models and systems thinking.
  • Partner with build, application, infrastructure, and automation support teams to achieve required reliability and meet operational objectives.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Computer Science, Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in IT product/application management, including design and deployment of major IT systems; includes people management experience.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with business and technology partners to understand and translate requirements.
  • Experience working in a shared services model, supporting virtual, multi-location, and multi-functional teams.
  • Proven leadership experience in building and developing high-performing teams.
  • Proficiency in English and German (spoken and written).
  • A valid criminal record certificate (not older than 3 months) is required.
  • Experience with IT systems in regulated or complex environments is preferred.
  • Experience executing projects using Agile methodologies and tools such as JIRA or similar.
  • Proven track record in delivering IT projects successfully.
