CERN invites motivated physics students to join as Short Term Interns for 2027 in Geneva. You will work with experts on real projects at the intersection of science and technology, gaining practical experience and learning through hands-on tasks.

You must be enrolled in a physics-related program, ready for a practical training period, and comfortable working in a multicultural, collaborative environment. The internship is onsite with a monthly allowance of CHF 1,593.

Employment Conditions:

• Contract duration (in months): 1to 6
• Job Flexibility: Fully Onsite
• A monthly allowance of 1,593Swiss Francs.
• Entitlement to paid leave for contracts of 4 months or more.

Be sure to meet the eligibility criteria

• You are a national of a CERN Member State or Associate Member State .Currently, we cannot consider applications from Pakistani, Lithuanian, Latvian, Cypriot, Croatian and Turkish nationals, as the ceiling defined under Article II.5 of the Associate Membership Agreement has been reached.
• You are pursuing a post‑secondary education degree (Technical/Administrative diploma, Bachelor’s, or Master’s degree).
• You have a good knowledge of English or French.
• You remain enrolled as a full‑time student during your studentship.
