CERN invites undergraduate and postgraduate students to apply for short-term internships in Geneva. The program offers on-site experience across physics, engineering and related disciplines, with flexibility for 1–6 months in 2026 and a monthly stipend of 1,587 CHF.
Applicants must remain full-time students and be insured for medical and accident coverage in Switzerland/France. Only candidates from CERN Member or Associate Member States will be considered.

Important!: You should be a national of a CERN Member or associate member state. Applications from other countries will not be considered.
Your main field of study should be from the following areas: Applied physics, computing, mathematics, electricity, electronics, mechanical or civil engineering, instrumentation, materials science, radiation protection, safety and environmental protection, surveying, ultra‑high vacuum, scientific communication. Or in administrative fields such as: translation, advanced secretarial work, accounting, legal services, human resources, librarianship, etc.
