What You’ll Do

IronArch is currently seeking a ServiceNow System Engineer to join our team!

We are a service provider to the Department of Veterans Affairs, supporting this agency with a full range of IT services, from cloud computing and virtualization to network and data center modernization. The Test Engineer will work with developers, end-users and organizations to create test plans and test scripts. They will also be responsible for providing support to client testers during acceptance testing, including test script walk-throughs, documenting testing issues and test results and answering questions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and support the ServiceNow platform lifecycle, from planning and deployment through maintenance and optimization
  • Configure, troubleshoot, and optimize MID server management (Linux) for large-scale environments with hundreds of servers
  • Proactively monitor and troubleshoot connectivity issues between ServiceNow and infrastructure systems
  • Serve as a platform administrator, providing expertise on platform experience and configuration
  • Provide basic architecture insights to guide design and scalability decisions
  • Support CI/CD pipeline integration and automation within ServiceNow environments
  • Partner with infrastructure and application teams to resolve technical challenges and improve efficiency
  • Document processes, designs, and troubleshooting procedures to support knowledge sharing and operational excellence
Requirements

Mid-Level Role

  • Minimum of 5 years of ServiceNow or IT systems engineering experience

Senior-Level Role

  • Minimum of 10 years of systems engineering experience
  • At least 6 years working with the ServiceNow platform

Technical Expertise (all levels)

  • ServiceNow platform administration and configuration
  • CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
  • Basic architecture design and system integration
  • ServiceNow Expertise: Strong understanding of platform lifecycle, administration, and customization
  • MID Server Management: Ability to deploy, monitor, and troubleshoot connectivity issues in Linux-based mid servers
  • Architecture & Integration: Understanding of system design, integrations, and performance optimization
  • CI/CD Pipelines: Familiarity with integrating ServiceNow workflows into modern DevOps practices
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to analyze issues, propose alternatives, and communicate technical solutions effectively
