ONWARD Medical in Lausanne, Switzerland, seeks an experienced Senior Product Manager Upstream Marketing for a six-month contract to shape our product portfolio and drive lifecycle decisions based on insights from SCI patients, clinicians, and customers.

You will partner with R&D, Clinical, Regulatory, Quality, Medical Affairs, and Commercial teams to define multi-year roadmaps, prioritize opportunities, and deliver tangible value.

Qualifikationen

• Master’s degree in engineering, life sciences, biomedical sciences, business, marketing, or related field; an advanced degree (MBA, MSc) is a plus.
• 5+ years of Product Management and/or Upstream Marketing experience in medical devices, medtech, digital health, or related healthcare environment.
• Demonstrated experience in upstream marketing, new product development, and product lifecycle management.
• Ability to translate Voice of Customer, KOL, and market insights into product strategy, user requirements, and target product profiles.
• Experience engaging directly with Key Opinion Leaders, healthcare professionals, patients, and clinical/sales teams.
• Experience working closely with R&D and multidisciplinary product development teams.
• Proven ability to operate in cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities.
• Strong understanding of medical device development and commercialization in a regulated environment.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and presentation skills.
• Passion for developing meaningful innovations that can improve the lives of people living with spinal cord injury.

Aufgaben

• Own the voice of the customer and market by engaging with KOLs, healthcare professionals, patients, and teams to identify needs and trends.
• Translate insights into product strategy and user requirements for development strategies.
• Capture and synthesize early commercial learnings into lifecycle priorities and product enhancements.
• Develop and refine strategies and value propositions, including positioning and roadmaps for new products and capabilities.
• Support business case development, forecasting inputs, product prioritization, and portfolio recommendations.
• Define a multi-year product roadmap with alignment across R&D, Clinical, Regulatory, and Commercial stakeholders.
• Drive alignment across cross-functional teams on priorities and development decisions.
• Communicate market insights and strategic rationale to leadership.
• Ensure alignment between upstream strategy and downstream marketing and commercial teams.
• Take ownership of priority initiatives and deliver tangible results within six months.
