Zusammenfassung

TotalEnergies Trading & Shipping, based in Geneva, is seeking a Senior Trading Accountant to own the most complex accounting topics across gas, LNG, power, emissions and derivatives.

You will reconcile system outputs with accounting records, partner with Trading Control, IT and auditors, and drive process improvements, ERP/ETRM projects and automation, leveraging advanced Excel, Power Query, SQL or Python where relevant.

Qualifikationen

• Master’s degree in Accounting/Finance with 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience in energy, commodities or trading preferred; Big Four backgrounds welcome.
• Strong IFRS knowledge and accounting for trading activities.
• Strong analytical, reconciliation and root-cause analysis skills.
• High autonomy with the ability to take ownership and engage stakeholders.

Aufgaben

• Ensure the accurate accounting representation of trading activities across gas, LNG, power, emissions and derivatives.
• Reconcile trading system outputs with accounting records and investigate discrepancies.
• Review complex accounting issues, identify posting/valuation weaknesses, coordinate resolution.
• Analyse outstanding balances, aged debt, accruals and prior-period adjustments.
• Lead ERP/ETRM system improvements and automation projects.
• Act as senior reference for junior team members and liaise with auditors.
• Support Trading Accounting Manager and drive continuous improvement.
