Job summary

Antaes Consulting is seeking an experienced Test Automation Engineer to join a skilled engineering team focused on complex, mission-critical software systems in Switzerland. You will develop automated testing frameworks and run tests across safety-critical domains, ensuring reliability, performance, and quality.

Fluency in French and English is required, with German a plus. The role offers hands-on automation challenges, collaboration with software engineers, and exposure to standards like IEC

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in safety-critical or mission-critical software environments.
• Strong hands-on experience in software test automation and test framework development.
• Good programming skills in Python and/or Java.
• Experience with automation tools such as Squish, JUnit, Citrus, JMeter or SoapUI.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to translate requirements into effective test cases.
• Experience in Air Traffic Management, aerospace, defence, railway, automotive or other safety-critical industries is highly valued.
• Familiarity with safety and software standards such as IEC 61508, ED-153 or ISO 12207 is an advantage.
• Fluent French and English are required. German is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain automated testing frameworks.
• Create and execute automated tests using Python, Java, Squish, Citrus or JUnit.
• Identify, investigate and document software defects.
• Maintain test results and ensure effective test reporting.
• Collaborate with software engineers to improve testing processes and software quality.
• Apply testing best practices, including BDD, TDD and ATDD.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within an Agile development environment.
