Job summary

Fortil, an international engineering and technology consulting group, seeks a Test Automation Engineer (M/F) to advance automated testing across the software lifecycle in a regulated environment.

Reporting to a technical manager, you will design, implement and maintain automated test frameworks, develop Python scripts, and contribute to CI/CD and continuous testing strategies. Fluent English and Swiss/EU citizenship are required.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related technical field.
• 5+ years of software testing and automation experience.
• Proven experience developing automated test frameworks.
• Experience with integration, system and end-to-end testing.
• Experience with CI/CD environments.
• Knowledge of verification and validation processes.
• Experience with defect reporting and test management.
• Fluent or professional English.
• Swiss or EU-27 citizenship.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain automated test frameworks.
• Define automation strategies aligned with project objectives.
• Develop automated test scripts using Python.
• Create and maintain integration, system and end-to-end tests.
• Participate in test plans and procedures.
• Execute automated and manual test campaigns.
• Analyze results and identify defects.
• Support root-cause analysis and troubleshooting.
• Ensure traceability between requirements and tests.
• Contribute to CI/CD and continuous testing initiatives.
• Improve automation coverage and testing efficiency.
• Produce validation reports and testing documentation.
• Collaborate with software, systems and verification engineers.
• Support Factory Acceptance Testing.
